File Systems Administration allows to organize file systems and root nodes,

Access the configuration via Administration → File Systems Administration.

Generally, Helios or Xinet volumes are used as file systems so define the Helios / Xinet servers in this section. For Helios it is possible to monitor all processes on the file servers and make sure that the data between the ISY3 asset management database and the file system are synchronized.

Instead of the event monitoring for Helios servers you can also use an event scanner (for Helios and Xinet servers) to synchronize changes of your file system. On the created servers afterwards the start nodes (Root Node Configurations) are created.

Before you start creating a Root Node Configuration (RNC), a Helios Server or Xinet must be added to distinguish the system where the file system is located.
