Preview generation

This page is available for generic storages as well as object storages. The setting options for both storage types are the same.

With the preview generation it is possible to enable the preview generation for the asset check-in process in OMN with the made settings in the configuration.

Preview generation

If the toggle is activated, a preview is generated within OMN (with the details set below) during the asset check-in.

  • If the minimalistic check-in (see details in 'Volume Configuration') is activated the toggle is deactivated and disabled.

Limit original preview by 'Resolution'

The entered dpi reduces the resolution of the preview accordingly.

  • By default 72 dpi is configured.

  • The configuration specifies a range from 72 to 300 dpi.

Limit original preview by 'Max. size'

The maximum size of the previews is limited by the specified size ratio with a 72 dpi resolution.

  • By default 1280 x 1024 pixels at 72 dpi is configured.

  • The configuration specifies a maximum pixel size from 3840 x 2160 px.
