With the Aperture tool, you can define image sections directly from the DAM. These are initially saved non-destructively as a kind of overlay, which saves storage space.

Only when the image clippings are sent out, for example to the web store, are the clippings calculated as "real" image files, so-called derivatives, and made available separately. This makes it possible, for example, to quickly and easily display color samples or article details for e-commerce and print.

Furthermore, in combination with the DAM module, image clippings can be provided to other users and even users without OMN access via mass data download (as a download link).
