Roles

The page provides the possibility to create and maintain roles for the OMN system and see at a glance if they are assigned to users and groups.

The page contains:

  • the following functions:

Function name Description Note

Add role

Function creates a new role

See 'Add role'

Edit role

Function edits created role

See 'Edit role'

Delete role(s)

Function deletes selected role

See 'Delete role(s)'

  • the table with the following columns and information about role:

Column name Description Note

Role Name

Shows the configured name of the role

The field must be maintained when the role is created

Mandator

Shows in which mandator the group is available

Only the OMN mandator is currently available here

Users set

Shows the amount of users the group is assigned to

Direct and indirect users are counted

Groups set

Shows the amount of roles the group is assigned to

Add role

  1. Click 'Add role' function

  2. Enter role details in the modal and fill in all mandatory fields

  3. Click on the 'Add role' button

The function is available by default.

Edit role

  1. Select one role in the table

  2. Click 'Edit role' function

  3. Enter or adjust role details in the modal and fill in all mandatory fields

  4. Click on the 'Edit role' button

Delete role(s)

  1. Select one or multiple roles in the table

  2. Click 'Delete role(s)' function

  3. Click on the 'Delete role(s)' button

Deleting role only deletes assignments to users and groups, but not the users and groups themselves.
